Azienda Agricola Ugolini was founded in 1960, after a long familiar tradition dating back to the second half of nineteenth century. Ever since, our house has been the wonderful hills and fields on the south side of Garda Lake.

We cultivate food items, fruits and vegetables. We have dairy cattle. From our vineyard we product three different kinds of wine.

This website is our business card, featuring pictures of any relative who gave his energy for the work (right). The Azienda Agricola is now managed by Majcol Ugolini with his father, Giuseppe.

Come and try our products at Agriturismo La Civetta, in Lonato del Garda, or at Latteria Ugolini in Peschiera del Garda.

We cultivate a lot of different kind of plants at our farm. It's been decades since we started doing it and we still cultivate with passion and respect for the natural rhythms. Wherever possible we prefer to choose natural, ancient solutions.

We use just organic fertilizer: manure and sewage. We spread them on fields before every ploughing to get the soil ready for new cultivations.

You can taste the quality of our herbs and vegetables in the dishes of our chefs at Agriturismo La Civetta. We also cultivate the fruit you can taste at Latteria Ugolini. We do follow every phase of the development of plants, personally caring about details and quality.

Our milk is made just by cattle fed in the best possibile way.

Corn, dry hay and alfalfa. That's all you need to provide a wealthy, well-balanced diet to your cattle.

We do know well that what cattle eat is going to determine the quality of their milk. That's why we will never and ever use anything similar to meat and bone meal.

The milk of our cattle is renowned for his quality, and it is used to produce certified Italian products like Grana Padano cheese and Provolone Valpadano cheese.

In the slideshow on the right, you can see the illustrated story of our cows, along with some pictures of everyday life in the farm.

From our vineyard we product three different kinds of wine: one is bottled and two are on tap. We directly follow every step of the production process, from harvest and grape picking to bottling.

To make our Merlot barricato della Civetta we first let grapes to wither slightly on the plant. After one year maturing in steel barrel, the wine is aged for eight months in barrique, and finally bottled.

We also have two on-tap wines, which we sell into 10-liter demijohn. We make Rosso della Civetta using a mix of Merlot, Groppello and Barbera cultivar, while for Bianco della Civetta we use a mix of Chardonnay and Incrocio Manzoni cultivar.

Doing this job means to get a lot of satisfactions, everyday:

whenever it's harvest time and you pick up the fruits, after waiting for months;

whenever you see happiness in your clients' expression, as they are tasting a dish at Agriturismo La Civetta, made out with the food we cultivate at Azienda Agricola Ugolini;

whenever you can pet the youngest calf borne since few hours.

These are just few of the reasons why we love our job, explaining why we maintain the maximum of the energy in all everyday activities.

Caring means paying attention to the details that can make a big difference.

Corn, dry hay and alfalfa. That's all you need to provide a wealthy, well-balanced diet to your cattle.

Starting from our corn fields, we directly cultivate, produce and store every ingredient of our cattle's diet. You can see it in the slideshow on the right.

We do know well that what cattle eat is going to determine the quality of their milk. That's why we will never and ever use anything similar to meat and bone meal.

To care means to respect ancient traditions that taught us all the things we know. It means respect for the future, for the world where our grandchildren will live in.

Today, as in ancient time, we grow up beautiful bushes of roses next to our vineyards. Roses help us to naturally prevent the powdery mildew from affecting our plants.

We care about environment and we try to minimize our impact on it. This is one of the reason why we choose just organic fertilizers as manure and sewage.

. .

Since we have memory our Azienda Agricola has been situated in Lonato del Garda, between Lombardy and Veneto.

Just at the end of the famous morenic hill, between forests and vineyards, our land reveal itself trough new silent nature angles and new beautiful perspectives.

In a few minutes from here you can reach the Lake of Garda, full of tourists. But in our place everything is different: you will find just a few farms and an enormous calm and beautiful countryside.

This place was chosen by our family since the beginning and still now we love to live here.

Right now we didn't plan any visit to the farm. You are always welcome at Agriturismo La Civetta, in Lonato del Garda or at Latteria Ugolini in Peschiera del Garda.

We dream of a world where nature will be part of everyone everyday life.

A world where every children will grow up in contact with animals and plants, knowing the rhythms of seasons related to food.

We dream of a future in which cities will have spaces where to learn how to work the soil.

In those spaces it will be possible to feel the emotions of a seed growing, the emotions of picking up a fruit from a tree.
